What is Door Life TV?
What is Door Life TV? In this short blog, I'll answer just that very issue!
Are you Tired of sitting on the sidelines watching other people get rich while you struggle to get by? Do you remember the day you graduated to the "Real World" with hopes and aspirations to make your mark in the world? One day you woke up to the stench of a boring routine of work and paying bills.
It's easy to get caught up in the "what's wrong with me" or "I'm smarter than them" mentality.
That's what Door Life is really all about. Throughout this short reading, you'll have the chance to make some decisions about your life.
DOOR LIFE TV
In 2007, I woke up in a sweat and a panic about my life's mission. I had this vision of helping people with their finances and to teach them the things that they never learned in school about money.
Fast forward to 2008-2009...The Great Recession completely wiped me out. I recovered in a few years after applying the things I teach. I was forced to evaluate all my choices.
Then, in 2017, I made a move that wiped me out again, but this time was a choice to close my business and move to go into the full time ministry. It was a choice that had serious financial consequences I was not prepared for.
By 2018, I was starting over again. This time, I built back faster and smarter than after the Great Recession.
Door Life TV is my answer to all those 50+ guys that are tired of working to get by but wanting more for their future. You love your family. You save for retirement but lack confidence that it will be enough. You love spending time outdoors hunting, fishing or golfing. Unfortunately, you see more work in retirement years than enjoying nature as is intended.

ONE DOOR AT A TIME CHALLENGE
I've been working with a client for a few years now and helped him more than double the size of his real estate portfolio in that time. He's gone from 30 doors when we met to now 71 doors in the last 2.5 years. He's gone from a net worth of less than $1 Million to nearly $2 Million in that time.
How? We've built his portfolio One Door at A Time.
Too many clients come to me wanting an overnight success story to quit their job or build retirement income only to get frustrated with the process.
One Door At A Time is the back yard BBQ slow smoking brisket version of a retirement plan that starts by adding small amounts of revenue. Eventually, those small amounts become bigger and start to multiply. It's boring.
One Door At A Time is about designing and funding the life you want rather than slaving to build someone else's dream.
Wouldn't you say it's time to take back the dreams of your youth and live YOUR life?
Oh, and I'll show you how to do it without being a landlord or needing to fix stuff...Yuk!
EMBRACE THE PROCESS
The Door Life is about slowing down so you can speed up.
As a young apprentice carpenter, one day my favorite mentor asked me, "What's the difference between a good carpenter and a bad carpenter?"
"I don't know," I said.
"A good carpenter always corrects his mistakes," he smiled as he pointed at a mistake I needed to fix.
For the last 20-30 years, you've been working at a job and trying to save when you can. When you look at your retirement funds, you experience stress and anxiety more than freedom.
If what you've been doing for 20-30 years doesn't seem to be working, it's time to correct the problem before it's too late.
You've been saving with the intention that your savings will last over 25 or 30 years in retirement years. Sadly, most won't have enough to last.
The answer? It's building the Door Life by starting to see each door added to your portfolio as another dollar toward your FREEDOM...
FREEDOM IS ONE DOOR AWAY...
During the 2008 Recession, I was a mortgage broker and lost everything I'd saved for retirement to that point. It was scary as I approached 40, I felt lost and hopeless that I'd never have enough to retire and give my wife what she deserved from our life together.
That's when I started to learn more and more about replacing my working active income with passive income one door at a time.
I started realizing that I didn't need to save $1.5 million to retire. I needed to replace $8,000 per month in income. So, I asked, "How I do that?"
The answer may not surprise you when I say, "One door at a time."
$8000 per month is not as hard to create and doesn't require compound interest to achieve. It requires Compound Income. It requires a series of several small investments that in turn create several small amounts of income. Collectively, they grow annually and ultimately help you reach your larger goal, One Door at a Time...
HOW TO GET STARTED
So, you're probably asking how to get started. That's where I was. It was not sexy, but clumsier for me.
Ultimately, you will have to identify some fears and excuses you may have to get started. There are a lot of them out there.
First, let's remove the "I don't have any money to get started" excuse. Subscribe to my new YouTube Channel, @DoorLifeTV . There's no cost to start learning.
Second, we'll help you find your first, second or third door to start the process.
Third, I'll show you how to either manage your portfolio yourself or hire a team to manage it for you. Hint, if you're still working or don't want to be working, option 2 is better.
Fourth, rinse and repeat. Remember, we're just looking for One Door at a Time.
RECAP
Just think about it. If you're fifty years old and can find a way to add 1 property per year over the next 10-12 years, your portfolio will grow in value and income when you're ready to retire.
I like 4-unit apartments because each deal can be 4 doors and multiply my income faster over time. It's a compound approach. A 4-plex today that earns me $300-600 out of the gate should earn me around $1000-1500 per month in 10 years. 8-10 of those properties will net me $8000-$10,000 plus in retirement income.
All you need to do right now is subscribe to my free YouTube channel to learn more.
